Retain use of your factory Steering Wheel Controls, Aux Input, rear-cargo Subwoofer in 2005-up Subaru Legacy/Outback after installing an aftermarket head unit (or transplanting an OEM radio from a different model/year) without cutting or splicing your factory wires.
Connects to the factory 8-pin "i85" audio harness. The harness includes pins for:
- Audio Steering Wheel Controls (SWCs)
- Subwoofer in rear cargo (some wagons only)
- Aux audio input
- "Night Illumination Dimness Cancellation" signal (can be used with the dimmer wire on many head units)
Note: All functions not on all models.
